Our offices are fitted with the latest Tekla 3D and StruCAD modeling systems, creating working models that are fully BIM compliant and can be imported by the design team into Navisworks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit and many other programs.
It is now common place for the main contractor to integrate further trades into the structural steelwork package such as metal decking, staircases, balustrades, hand railing, walkways and other secondaries. These are all elements that we regularly incorporate into schemes and as such we welcome these inclusions. This incorporation starts with our complete structural 3D modeling and leads to fully inclusive BIM co-ordination.
We would welcome receiving any up and coming projects in order to introduce you to our tender process. Each potential contract is 3D modelled on Tekla or StruCAD and the design evaluated for cost, build ability and programme, before being comprehensively priced back to yourselves.
Our in house engineering design team are involved in our projects from the very first stage through to final delivery and sign off.
All projects are looked at for cost saving and improving efficiency through value engineering with any potential improvements then presented to our clients for approval. Structural engineers then move on to producing end connection designs and base plate calculations jointly working with our detailing staff. Finally the once complete the design intent is signed off by our engineers.
The detailing office have over 40 years experience and extensive years using the industry leading 3D modeling CAD software detailing programs of Tekla and StruCAD.
All models produced can be imported into design team software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
The setup process establishes project specific protocols to ensure model sharing guidelines are met.

Modeling carried out in Tekla Structures inconjunction with Revit, ArchiCAD, Constructor (Vico) and NavisWorks.
Pre-Contract Design and detailing works with the architects and engineers team in the design stage.
We import the engineer’s analysis model into our 3D modeling software, Tekla Structures, This allows us to work directly with the engineer and resolve any design issues, this process dramatically reducing time spent on information requests. This process streamlines the design/detail process and in some cases, bill of materials as well as shop drawings are ready at time of project award.
Revision and Change Order Management allows the design team, main contractor and site management to identify and react to changes in a timely manner as well as providing backup documentation.
Clash and Conflict Detection by importing data into a common modeling space and performing a clash check. Each instance of clashing is tracked and workable solutions are implemented in a manner not to interfere with project flow.
Some builders prefer to pass the management of the steel frame onto a more experienced party, we can partner your needs and advise accordingly. Every project undertaken is given its own Project Manager who works between you and the client from the very first tender stage right through to final account sign off. As per the fabrication facilities, we can call on numerous specialist erection teams to bring the project together on site. This allows you to benefit from having a specialist stair fitter on site for your retail staircase rather than operatives that are more experienced in erecting steel frames and vice versa.
All site operatives work with the highest level of safety in mind, with all specific health and safety information provided for each project and with all staff trained appropriately for the task in hand.
